Ken joined the Estimating Department of, by then, Zephyr Metals in 1996. He worked with Mr. Morris in preparing and submitting quotes for the fabrication and installation of monumental stairs and ornamental railing systems, and has been the Chief Estimator since coming to Equus Metals in early 2000.
With his extensive and varied experience in many of the technical aspects of fabrication of monumental stairs and ornamental railing systems, Ken is often able to make recommendations to modify and improve specifications, drawings and fabrication techniques and procedures.
Ken Jackson first became involved in the ornamental metals business in 1975, beginning in shop fabrication as a fitter/welder for Zephyr Metalcraft, progressing up to a foreman. In 1989, he joined the drafting department of that company, and in addition to drafting work between 1989 and 1996, Ken acquired several years experience in programming of CNC machinery.
